YOUR LIFE SPAN DEPENDS ON THE LENGTH OF YOUR TELOMERE.

  1. YOUR LIFE SPAN DEPENDS ON THE LENGTH OF YOUR TELOMERE. Telomeres are the yardstick of your life spanThey are the covering cap at the end of each DNA that protects chromosomes. The rate of telomere shortening is an indicator of the aging process. With every cell division, a bit of telomere is broken, and its length becomes shorter. They are shortened by other factors as well. Eventually, the protective telomere cap is totally eaten up, and chromosomes are directly exposed to damage. It is an indication that one has reached the terminal point of his life.

Hay Flick Limit: UB According to this theory, telomere goes on shortening with every division. Telomeres will eventually no longer be present at the tip of chromosomes. This end stage is known as the Hayflick limit of the cell or senescent cells. This signifies the terminal point of life, the cell/species. On a human cell human Cells divide approximately 50–70 times before reaching its endpoint, the Hayflick limit.

Telomerase is known as the enzyme of immortality. Its role is to repair the protective cap of chromosome strands, the telomere. Thus increasing the life span. This enzyme is only produced in the fetal stage of the womb. Its production stops just after the birth of the child. From then on, the life clock starts ticking until the end of life.

Werner’s Syndrome It’s a very unfortunate disease syndrome of the human being. It is an inherited disease. In this disease, growth is normal up to the stage of puberty. After that, physical growth stops. Now telomeres start breaking at a much faster rate than normal, resulting in faster aging and reaching at the terminal point between the ages of 30 and 50. Heart attacks and cancer have become more common, resulting in early death.

HOW TO SLOW DOWN TELOMERE SHORTENING

Please look into the table below to find the formula for slowing down telomere shortening.

The life span of a human or any species is dependent upon the shortening rate of the telomere cap present at the end of the chromosomes. The telomerase enzyme is the formula for longevity and immortality.

    1. You see telomere length of the chromosome (Present at its tip are the yardstick of your age.A bit of it breaks after every division of the cellls in your body. After certian age ,all of it breaks down and chromosomal damage becomes emminent. This more or less the end point of life. This point is called Haffelick Point .
