MY CARDIAC PHOBIA AND OTHER PHOBIAS
Almost everyone suffers from some kind of phobia. It may be taken as normal, as long as it does not disturb our day-to-day functioning of life. I developed Cardiac Phobia after my 3rd shot—the precautionary dose of the Covishield vaccination. Coughing and breathlessness were the first things that troubled me. After that, I developed an irregular heartbeat / missed a beat, and was diagnosed with arrhythmia with PVC, which is premature ventricular contractions. To confirm the diagnosis, all necessary examinations were performed, including an EKG, a 2D echo, and Holter monitoring. Now it is on a regressing path, but whenever I get bouts of coughing or a little breathlessness, I become a bit panicky. My consulting doctor advised me not to watch my pulse. He said you have a cardiac phobia. Phobias are a very common entity among human beings since they developed their cognition abilities. The list of possible fears and phobias is endless.
